AI Chat Exporter does not collect, store, or transmit any personal identification information (PII) or usage data to external servers.

The extension functions by reading the content of the currently active web page (your chat session) securely within your browser for the sole purpose of formatting it into a file (Markdown/JSON) and saving it to your local Downloads folder.

2. Permissions

The extension requires the following permissions to function:

activeTab / Scripting: Required to access the content of the chat page you initiate an export on.
Storage: Used strictly to save your local preferences (e.g., export format settings) within your browser profile. This data is not synced to us.

3. Third-Party Services

This extension does not use any third-party analytics or tracking services (like Google Analytics).
